About and funding

We publish Israel’s official record. These are the figures Israel’s own bodies put out. Every one names the body that published it, the years it covers, and how it was counted.

Who pays for this

Israel pays for this site. We are registered as a foreign agent in the United States. That law makes us print a notice at the bottom of every page. Here it is:

We save a copy of every page as it appeared and file it with the Department of Justice. Those filings are public, and anyone can look them up.

What this site does

We give you one side’s record and we say that is what it is. Every figure names the body that published it and the period it covers, and when a body is counting its own work, we say so and give the test it used. If you want another side’s figures, this is not the place.

What this site does not do

• We do not count anything ourselves. There is no survey of our own here, and there never will be. Every figure belongs to the body that made it.
• We do not check a body’s count of its own work. We label it, give the test it used, and leave you to weigh it.
• We do not put another side’s figures next to Israel’s, and we do not answer what anyone else publishes.
• Where Israel’s bodies have published nothing, we say so rather than fill the gap.

Corrections

If a figure here does not match the document we credit it to, it is wrong. Tell us and we will fix it. We then save and file the corrected page the same way we did the first one.
