The United States alone took NIS 44.8 billion in exports

The Central Bureau of Statistics publishes one country line inside each region, and the United States line stands at NIS 44,813.8 million of goods exports for January to November 2025. The European Union line, at NIS 49,404.3 million, is a bloc of member states rather than a single country, and it accounts for most of the Europe total.

  • European Union, a bloc line within Europe: NIS 49,404.3 million of exports.
  • United States, a country line within America: NIS 44,813.8 million of exports.
  • China, a country line within Asia: NIS 8,694.2 million of exports.

China supplied NIS 45.7 billion of imports, above the United States

The import ranking is not the export ranking. The Central Bureau of Statistics records goods imports from China at NIS 45,660.2 million for January to November 2025, against NIS 29,197.7 million from the United States, while the European Union line stands at NIS 102,945.0 million.

Imports exceeded exports by NIS 121.5 billion to November 2025

The Central Bureau of Statistics puts the goods trade balance at minus NIS 121,507.1 million for January to November 2025, which is the published export total less the published import total. For November 2025 alone the Bureau reports exports of NIS 16.1 billion and imports of NIS 26.5 billion, a deficit of NIS 10.4 billion.

Period Exports Imports Balance
Calendar 2021, gross NIS 193.8 billion NIS 291.4 billion Minus NIS 97.6 billion

The Bureau publishes no services trade figures in these releases

Both releases cover trade in goods. The Central Bureau of Statistics publishes no services figures in either, so a reader looking for software, tourism or other services partners will not find them here, and neither release carries a full ranking of partner countries beyond the regional lines and the country lines quoted above.

The 2022 release does name the countries behind the largest year-on-year movements in 2021, which is a ranking of change rather than of size. The Central Bureau of Statistics names Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, El Salvador, Gabon, Morocco and the Congo on the export side, excluding diamonds, and Zambia, Honduras, Panama, the United Arab Emirates, Cuba, Kenya and Armenia on the import side. Separately, the Ministry of Economy and Industry published an assessment of the economic potential with the United Arab Emirates in October 2020, one month after normalisation. It is the ministry’s own prospective assessment, compiled from Emirati and international data rather than measured by it, and it records nominal Emirati GDP of $405.8 billion in 2019 against $387 billion in Israel.

Which of these figures may not be added together?

The Central Bureau of Statistics reports goods only in both releases, so neither total is Israel’s trade balance across goods and services.

Regional figures already contain the country and bloc lines printed beneath them, so the European Union total may not be added to the Europe total, and China may not be added to Asia.

The 2021 figures are the gross presentation for a full calendar year; the 2025 figures are cumulative for eleven months. The two are not one continuous run and the difference between them is not a change over time.

The Bureau publishes both a shekel and a dollar presentation of its trade series. Every figure on this page is from the shekel presentation.
