Israel in Figures records 80.7 years for men and 84.8 for women
The Central Bureau of Statistics published both figures in Israel in Figures 2023, its own compilation of national indicators for calendar year 2022. The booklet reports life expectancy at birth for the whole population of Israel, separately for men and for women, alongside 181,193 live newborns and a total fertility rate of 2.89 children per woman for the same year.
The Bureau publishes life expectancy by sex, not as one number
Israel in Figures 2023 carries the two sex-specific figures and no combined national figure for either 2022 or any other year in the booklet. A reader quoting the Israeli release therefore quotes two numbers, 80.7 and 84.8, each with its own population base. The Central Bureau of Statistics states no weighting between them, so the two cannot be averaged into a single national figure from what the release publishes.

Which figures on this page may not be added together?
